What is an Extraction?
An extraction is the surgical removal of tooth.
When would I need an Extraction?
If a fracture, infection, or decay has rendered a tooth unable to be saved, an extraction is necessary. If wisdom teeth are growing in a manner that is causing or could cause harm to the other teeth or gum tissue in the area, extracting the wisdom teeth may be the right call as well.
What can I expect during an extraction?
We will use local anesthetics to numb the area, keeping you comfortable and pain-free while we remove the tooth.
What is the healing time for an extraction?
A full recovery can be expected in one to two weeks, during which time we recommend a soft diet.
